DESCRIPTION:The photos taken during the event are available\n>>>>>>>>>>>> Here ( https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1GTOt6lPN0SoTC42RFOY-DkD6qSe59NWU?usp=sharing ) <<<<<<<<<<<<<\n \nTo reward young people that entered the fascinating world of nuclear science, the BNS – with the help of its Young Generation, the Belgian Nuclear Research Center SCK CEN and the Belgian Agency for Radioactive Waste and Enriched Fissile Materials ONDRAF/NIRAS – organizes since 2004 a yearly contest for outstanding works related to nuclear applications in the broadest sense of the term.\nThis Nuclear Science Event is open not only for students to present their Master thesis but also to anyone (up to 36 years old included) who published a paper related to nuclear, whether it is at school, university or within a company.\nThis year the event includes two contests:\n\nBNS-YG Scientific Contest ;\nSCK CEN Best Master Thesis Contest.\n\nThe winners of the contests will present their work on a long-awaited physical event on the 24th of March, 2022 at the Tabloo communication center, that will also be open to visitors before and after the event itself.\nProgram of the event: \nSee the poster above. During the walking dinner the participants will enjoy a poster session in the entrance hall of Tabloo.\n \nPrizes from the 2020 edition.\nCandidates\nThe rules of the contest can be consulted here ( https://twin.bnsorg.be/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/BNS_Thesis_Contest_Rules_2021_Rev1.pdf ).\n2.13.0.0\nBNS-YG Contest for nuclear science and its applications\n2.13.0.02.13.0.0\n \nMichael Heines (First prize)\n2.13.0.02.13.0.0\nKU Leuven\nMass separation of Ac-225 for medical applications: First proof of principle at CERN-MEDICIS.\nLink to poster ( https://twin.bnsorg.be/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/poster_Heines.pdf )\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\n \nBram Van Den Borne (Second place)\n2.13.0.02.13.0.0\nKU Leuven\nDiscovery and Characterisation of Long-Lived States in 116,118,120Ag using Collinear Laser Spectroscopy.\nLink to poster ( https://twin.bnsorg.be/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Poster_van_den_Borne.pdf )\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\n \nYaana Bruneel (Third place and second prize best poster award)\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\nKU Leuven\nCs sorption on glauconite sands: from batch sorption to transport predictions.\nLink to poster ( https://twin.bnsorg.be/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Poster_Yaana-Bruneel.pdf )\n \n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\n \nAnna Bianchi\n2.13.0.0\nSCK CEN\nRepeatability and Reproducibility of Microdosimetry With a Mini-TEPC.\nLink to poster ( https://twin.bnsorg.be/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Poster_Bianchi.pdf )\n2.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.02.13.0.0\n \nFerdiana Hoti\n2.13.0.0\nSCK CEN\nWho is willing to participate?
